Relay quest, the graduation mission for the Academy, is up and running. Right now it's not tied into the Academy, but we're working on it. If you want to give it a go, go to relay_1.

Apologies for not updating this recently, work has been ongoing to fix the mud. The rebuilding work is coming along fine, and the new docks/ship system has to seen to be believed.

2000-10-04

The docking ring is a ring /again/.
Ships dock and depart on a timer /again/.
The MUD compiled again (hoorah!)
The minimissions still work, and the missions themselves are now being
tested for their stability. Paralithium, Bandits, Backwards, Luton done.
Fixed small bugs in messages displayed during Backwards.
The Shrubbery mission has been added :- written by Plett.

1999-01-25
We apologise for the recent downtime : most of the critical bugs should
now have been fixed. We will be fixing most of the quest bugs soon.

1998-11-19
The No Reset System is fully operational. See 'info noreset' for details.

1998-11-18
A prototype no-reset system has been installed. Testing continues.

1998-11-17
The Cryosphere will be unavailable Friday afternoon. See 'info power' for more details.

1998-11-10
A scheme evaluator (guile) is now available using the `eval' command. Facilities for using scheme as an extension language will be coming Real Soon Now.

1998-11-07
Ambassadorial escort missions have been implemented, although they are quite crude now. You can now `accept' a mission to stop anyone else doing it.
Many bug fixes have been made. Silo is closer to completion. Something else has been done.

1998-11-06
Warship missions now have more variety : you have to fix something on the ship by putting a part in it. Minor fixes to Bandits were made. Silo has been slightly more implemented. A crude form of equipment saving has been implemented.

1998-11-05
Dynamic Missions have been made much cooler, with the implementation of two new mission templates. Also, there are panels at all the major spaceports which show which ships are docked.

1998-11-04
Further work has been done on trade. Also, `Dynamic Missions' have been introduced. Only two types of dynamic mission templates are available right now : this will be expanded in coming days. Also, more invisibility bugs have been fixed.

1998-11-03
Banks and stores have been started.

1998-10-31
Invisibility progresses further, and numerous bugfixes have been made.

1998-10-30
Invisibility has been partially implemented. There are still some anomalies, and quite a lot of commands may not honour your invisibilty status : if you come across any of these, please report them.

A minor bug in the Player class meant we went off-line for a while this evening, whilst it was debugged.

1998-10-29
The 'quitting' crash bug has been resolved, as have several other minor bugs. Some quest bugs have been addressed, and the `Bandits' quest has now been confirmed to be completable by a test runner.

The location `lstone_1' is being deprecated as a start room, as it is aassociated with a quest zone. The room `main_18' is now the default start for mortals.

1998-10-28
The start of the new equipment system is in. There is now a communicator badge dispenser in lstone_2, (north of `Starfleet Recruitment'). This will dispense a communicator badge on request. The commbadges are needed to use `tell', `who' and `intercom'. The `chat' and `gossip' channels do not require the badges, and if you
are in certain zones, you implicitly have one. A crude form of equipment saving might also be implemented soon.

A rough extension of `main' zone to include critical station facilities now exists. The extension to main zone may be found at the top of the Cryosphere, just below the docks.

There is a map available of this level from one of the locations within it : alternatively, see `info level1'.

1998-10-27
We now have a `plural' flag. Please set this on objects which are `plural', such as objects described as `some stuff'. This will ensure better English is generated.

The `trace' command is in. This will allow someone to see all the exits another person traverses. You can trace an unlimited number of people, although someone can only be traced by one person.

The `remort' command now has location restrictions : lower ranking immortals will not be able to use it in locations which don't have the RemortHere flag.

The internal function Player::vprintf now knows about colors. This means that width specifies will work correctly.

1998-10-26
A lot of internal work was done cleaning up specials.

People with the ECHO pflag can now use the recently enabled `echo' verb.

Assorted bugfixes have been made.
