Quits you out of the system. Your player file will be saved for later use.

If you are in a particularly hazardous location, for example swimming in the sea or wandering around on an airless planet, quitting could be fatal! You'll be warned, and given the chance to find some safety. If you are prepared to accept that quitting means you'll wake up in the hospital next time you log in, use "quit really".

>quit
If you quit from here, you'll asphyxiate before you can log back in.
If you want this to happen, use "quit really", otherwise find somewhere safer!
